Frequently Asked Questions
-
What’s up with your ingredients? Sounds like the good stuff I eat every day!
Precisely! We only use the best people-grade ingredients and use local and organic sources as much as possible. If you read the ingredients that make up our treats, you won’t be reading for long. We’re all about purity, simplicity, flavor, and quality.
-
They smelled really good so I ate them all. Am I going to be okay?
Bon apetit my friend! They’re not merely people-grade, they’re made with the best quality ingredients that you’d happily consume at home or even at some fancy restaurant. Remember to save some for the doggles!
-
Is my dog allergic to your treats?
Wheat, corn, soy, meats, and dairy are the most common irritants that you WON’T find in our treats. Make sure you read all the ingredients to be extra certain that your furball is in the clear.
-
Where and how should I store my treats?
Our tasty morsels keep best in a closed container (like the one they’re sold in) stored in a cool, dry place.
-
Who’s making these treats? Not robots right?
We make them all ourselves. No robots. 100% paw-made! We mix, roll, scoop, and bake them all locally in our fabulous commercial kitchen in the Mission. Each and every treat is made with care for all you good dogs out there.
-
How long are these treats good for?
A pretty darn good long time, like 3 to 4 months or even longer! If anything, they might get a little stale, but there’s still plenty of flavor to savor.
Our cookies don’t have a drop of preservatives, chemicals, or additives and therefore are more susceptible to organic decay than those other yucky treats with the fake stuff. The basic rule is to use your best judgement. If it seems suspicious, compost it. But don’t worry, they’ll be gobbled up so quickly you’ll be back at the store for more in no time!
-
Does Josie do the baking? What’s her job exactly?
At a petite 11 inches in height and with no opposable thumbs, Josie’s a bit challenged when it comes to reaching the counters, opening ovens, and rolling out dough. Nevertheless, she remains our fearless leader and CFO (Chief Fur-nancial Officer), which entails overseeing quality control, taste testing, napping, looking cute, and financial planning.
-
