I was taking my owner for a walk in our neighborhood, the Mission, on a sunny afternoon this past Monday when we crossed paths with Ronnie, a nice but worried man posting up flyers about his missing pal, Chirpa. Since then, Chirpa remains missing and they suspect he may have been stolen. This would be a travesty and if the person who burgled this sweet, innocent dog is reading this, please have a heart and give him back! If you want to help, visit the
Facebook Page and read this description:
Chirpa disappeared Sunday night at 2am at 18th and Capp Street. We are very concerned for his well being and believe that he may have been stolen. He has medicine that he needs to take. Cash Reward for his safe return ASAP! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYONE AND LETS FIND CHIRPA!!
We are looking forward to showering Chirpa with delicious JBS treats to welcome him home. Please come home safe Chirpa!!

I’m in a typing mood this morning! It’s a good thing too since my paws are fidgety and I really want to talk about our belief in limited local distribution.
It’s only been a couple of months and we’ve managed to make our way onto the shiny shelves of
many a fine local establishment here in SF! While that’s barkworthy news in itself, it might raise a few questions about why we’re selling
only in the SF area. Well, the idea here is to keep it small. I, myself, am only about 9 inches tall and my business partner is about 5′8″, so between us, we average out to 3′3″ and we’re keeping plenty busy within Bay Area borders. Heck, we haven’t even attacked the East Bay, South Bay, or Marin yet!
I take a lot of pride in keeping my carbon pawprint as small as possible. Keeping distribution close to our neighbors means we’re not trucking tons of greenhouse gases across the country. I also love knowing that my happy customers enjoy freshly made snacks that were hand-baked mere miles away from their home! They know we offer delicious, healthy oven-to-paw treats that truly support our local community, from ingredient to retailer.
We’ll keep you posted on any new stores through our
Twitterings and our AWESOME
store locater map! In the meantime, feel free to use the map to find the JBS retailer nearest you. And if we’re not in your favorite pet supply store or local market, let us know so we can make our treats convenient to your hood.

It’s official. We’re on the internet, full-force! I’m so pumped you’re visiting our sparkly new site. I’ve been working my paws off designing, writing, coding, and such. Feels good to be done!
Take a scamper through our site which I sincerely hope you love as much as I do. Keep checking back here on the Bake Sale Blog for all sorts of JBS news and random fun stuff or catch us on Facebook, Twitter, or Yelp. Okay, gotta get back to taste-testing! It’s a tough job but some doggie’s gotta do it…
